Leaderboards Overview
The Leaderboards in this app allow you to compare your strength with your friends in a fun and interactive way.
- Add Friends: Begin by adding your friends to your list. This can be done by entering their usernames or selecting them from your contacts. Once added, they will appear in your friends' leaderboard.
- Select the Mode: To view the leaderboard, click on the dropdown menu located at the top of the Leaderboards section. This dropdown allows you to select the mode you want to use for comparison, such as "By Dots" or "By Total." Each mode offers a different way to rank your friends based on their performance metrics.
- View Rankings: After selecting the desired mode, the leaderboard will display your friends' rankings. You can see their total scores, dots, and individual lifts (like squat, bench press, and deadlift) based on the mode selected.
- Compare Performance: Use the leaderboard to track your progress and compare your achievements with your friends, fostering a sense of competition and motivation.
Data Sources
This app uses data from the OpenPowerlifting project to provide an accurate assessment of where lifters rank based on their strength. Using OpenPowerlifting’s CSV data, we gather extensive records on lifts across various weight classes and age brackets. To calculate percentiles, we apply cubic smooth interpolation, which allows us to estimate ranks precisely even between recorded data points. When you input your body weight (in kg) and your total, our calculator matches your stats against this interpolated dataset. This way, we can accurately position your lifting performance within a percentile relative to other lifters in your weight class and age group. https://www.openpowerlifting.org.
